Welcome to Henley Cricket Club Website

We are very proud of what Henley CC has achieved over the last few years, including buying our own ground, building a new pavilion and winning the league. We are a very friendly club, and welcome new players and supporters alike. Our ground is one of the loveliest places to play or watch cricket in England. Please visit the about us page to discover more about the history of HCC.

The players and committee at Henley CC look forward to the coming season and certainly hope that we have a hot dry summer. Having missed out on the Home Counties Premier League title on the final weekend of last season, we will be working hard to win the league this season, and to make progress with our Thames Valley League sides. The 2nd X1 are looking forward to their upcoming season in TVL Div. 1 following their promotion at the end of last season.

The Club continues to develop its playing activities and in addition to running four Saturday and one Sunday Eleven, we have a Ladies team and an “Occasionals” side for former players and parents of our junior members.

The energetic junior section continues to thrive and we run sides from U9 through to U15 and two girl’s sides. Our desire is to provide a pathway for players from childhood though to adulthood with the opportunity to accommodate all those who wish to play cricket from the social to the elite player.

We are developing closer links with local schools through coaching programmes to further encourage participation for young cricketers and this will provide more of them with a chance to play for the Club.

We welcome number of new players to the club for the 2017 season which bodes well for the future.

To support player development the club coach leads nets on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at the club’s main ground in Henley on Thames, which has had significant work over the winter. Our 3rd & 4th X1 have their home games at our second ground in Nettlebed, which continues to improve, and will benefit from new sight screens this season.

New players, social members and visiting sides are all assured a warm welcome at either of the club’s grounds.

We anticipate some exciting cricket and aim to challenge for honours, and progress over the coming season. Most importantly however, we look forward to an enjoyable and fun season, with those two key ingredients success will surely follow!
