A very useful match for the Under 11's Henley Oxon team which comprised mainly of Lynx team Year 5 players, and for most, it was the first experience of a wicket taking format match. Sonning Scorchers fielded x11 Year 6 players, x6 of whom play for Berkshire Cricket. Great batting from Freddie Postlethwaite 19 and Owen Ashton 13. Wickets taken by Josh Price, See Lavers and Wilf Oseman. Most impressive was the energy in the field and team spirit; a point made to me by the Sonning coach. We will take some of the learnings from the match and use them in the upcoming matches.
