Henley made the trip to High Wycombe looking to build on recent form. After winning the toss, they chose to bat first and made steady progress through another solid opening stand between Johnny Connell and Matt Dalrymple—passing the hundred mark for the second game in a row.
The top order set the tone for a strong finish, but a rain delay trimmed the innings by five overs, limiting Henley to just nine overs of late acceleration. Still, skipper Searle made the most of it, hitting 25 off the penultimate over from Josh Lincon as Henley closed on 294. Connell finished with 81, while Dalrymple added 85.
In response, High Wycombe built a patient and effective chase. Jordan and Searle claimed three wickets between them, but the home side managed the chase well. Opener Billy Dodds was the difference, remaining unbeaten on 148 and guiding his side to victory with a calm, controlled innings.
Henley will look to bounce back in their next fixtures, hosting Aston Rowant before travelling to Finchampstead.
